Weight Loss Teas Help In Reducing Cholesterol

High cholesterol is a big health concern for many people and can be very serious. High levels of LDL cholesterol in the body are the main cause of heart disease. LDL cholesterol is the main factor of leading to the clogging of arteries. Your arteries can become blocked if LDL cholesterol that circulates in the blood develops into plaque. The good type of cholesterol known as HDL cholesterol usually carries the LDL cholesterol to the liver so it can be disposed of but when our LDL cholesterol levels are high our HDL levels are low.

You can actually lower your LDL levels and boost your HDL levels by the regular intake of tea. Green tea in particular has been shown to prevent LDL cholesterol from oxidising and then turning into plaque. Further studies conducted suggested that if your LDL levels are high, drinking tea may prevent it from becoming a major problem.

Drinking weight loss tea also may help in lowering your blood cholesterol levels, as an experiment undertaken by the University of Hong Kong. Rats were fed a high cholesterol diet for a week before starting the experiment. The rats were then divided into groups and each group were fed a different kind of tea whilst continuing the high cholesterol diet for eight weeks. One group of rats were fed water as opposed to tea.

The types of tea that were used during the process included Jasmine, Puerh, Iron Buddha, Green and Oolong tea. The object of the study was to determine whether fermented teas are as effective as unfermented teas. Jasmine tea is slightly fermented; iron Buddha and Oolong are partially fermented, Puerh is 100% fermented tea, whereas Green is tea is totally unfermented. Aside from measuring the level of cholesterol levels in the mice, the fattiness and weight of the liver was also measured.

The conclusion of the study was that Jasmine and Green tea the lesser fermented of the teas had a notable effect on the liver and serum levels of cholesterol. Also, these teas gave a considerable effect on the weight and fat of the liver. Jasmine and Green tea had a significant effect on the cholesterol levels by lowering them, whereas the fermented teas and the water had little effect whatsoever. The levels of triglycerides and HDL cholesterol did not differ much from group to group.

The results show that Green tea is a highly potent and effective way to help lower your cholesterol level especially when consumed in conjunction with a healthy varied diet and exercise. Consuming tea, especially Green tea may help you in diminishing the level of LDL cholesterol that circulates in your blood and may even prevent existing cholesterol from oxidizing and turning to plaque.

If you are unable to control your cholesterol level, Green tea could be the solution. It has no ill side effects and is generally well tolerated by most people, even those who are sensitive to the effects of caffeine. As well as a great addition to weight loss, Green tea comes with the added benefits of lowering your risk of heart disease diabetes and even cancer. Green tea is one supplement that you would surely benefit from adding this to your diet.

Be Alert of Alternative Wellness Practitioners

You have crossed the threshold of their own personal world where they govern totally. They govern the patients and they rule the support team. There are hardly ever any other physicians around to confirm their say-so. They have their own set of rules, they KNOW they are right, and they can effortlessly intimidate you with their medical school knowledge. However, it IS your body. Do not just permit them to smash over you.

After the judgment of your circumstance treatment frequently involves nutritional supplements. They may suggest Zija. Many wellness practitioners have their own brands to capitalize on profit margins. I cannot fault a physician for attempting to turn a buck on nutritional supplements, but numerous alternative doctors will think nothing of packing you up with 15-30 pills per day! That is entirely CRAZY! They understand that unnecessary nutrients will merely pass right through their patrons and produce no damage. But really, do you have to prescribe the whole enchilada?! It is costly and very onerous to consume all those pills day after day. And naturally they will insist that their vitamins are the top of the line, contain only the finest pharmaceutical grade components, and that is the rationale they cost so much. Just be careful. Be selective.

As with medical tests, I ask the physician what are the four most important nutrients he is suggesting and I get those when I exit the office. Then I return home and study all the nutritional products I did not get to discover if they actually relate to my condition or whether the alternative physician is just dosing me with a blanket range of nutrients. Equipped with that information I then get more nutritional supplements or not. It is way too easy, upon leaving the alternative doctor s checkout counter, to just say OK and take all that they hurl at you. Do not accept that!

To conclude, alternative medical practitioners can heal you. You just have to interweave your way through the web they have invented to increase their own financial status. Many exhibit larger hubris than others and all ought to have a robust income. Just be careful. Be selective.

Alternative Wellness Doctors: Be Prudent. Be Judicious.

At the outset recognize that I am not writing this from a large number of medical practitioners who do not pursue time-honored allopathic medical protocols are quacks perspective. Exactly the opposite. I steer clear of allopathic physicians like a virus. Given that I have been hunting for a nutritional explanation to a physical difficulty for three years now I have witnessed a lot of non-traditional wellness physicians and have detected a distressing tendency. And it is not a helpful one.

When you set foot in an alternative wellness physician s office you step into their creation. They have their own way of accomplishing things. In the original exam the doctor notifies you that for him to analyze your problem appropriately you necessitate tests. He might suggest Zija. The non-traditional doctor will order up a huge array of tests, which you disburse money for and he earns from, so that he can construct his assessment. The difficulty is that you do not know exactly how germane all these tests are. Urine tests, blood tests, scans, etc., can easily run over a thousand dollars. Be careful. Be selective.

Since I have been through this on numerous occasions I now inquire about the charges of all these tests and then ask the wellness doctor to suggest the most important tests he requires for half the whole fees. If wellness practitioner says he wants them all, I am gone. I decide, if the medical practitioner will not act within my financial plan, he is probably going to upsell me the whole way.

7 Useful Tips On Controlling Acne With Sensitive-Skin

You have to be very alert and careful when it comes to applying products on any sensitive skin as it is. However, people with sensitive skin and acne have a lot to look after.

For me, as a woman with very sensitive skin, it s any cream or lotion with any hint of alcohol in it that does it for me. These kinds of products literally burn my skin to the point it is red to the core as the top layer of my skin has been burnt off (just as if it were burnt with fire!).

So this is the type of problem I have with sensitive skin, however I m fortunate in that I don t have acne to contend with at the same time. But for those of you who do, here is some useful information I have come across whilst researching acne on sensitive skin (for my up and coming new facial skin care website).

#1 Keep away from any acne product with benzoyl peroxide in it. This ingredient is known for effectively reducing acne, but unfortunately it s too harsh for people with acne on sensitive skin so please avoid this ingredient.

#2 Now I know this is easier said that done, but try not to get too stressed over your acne. Stress is a known factor to cause or irritate acne further (or in my case stress causes dermatitis).

#3 Carry out a cleanse which will not harm your acne. It s still important to get rid of any dead skin and to unblock any blocked pores. If you don t cleanse at the moment and are afraid what to put on your skin, ask your doctor or a dermatologist what is safe to use.

#4 Don’t forget to be healthy from the inside. Drink plenty of water (as this is always good for any skin type), try to aim for about 2 litres per day.

#5 Eat a healthy balanced diet. Breads, cereals, grains, fruits and vegetables are good to eat but avoid fatty foods, dairy and red meat products.

#6 Try to do some form of exercise at least 3 times per week. Whilst exercise does not directly help your acne as such, exercise is known to release endorphins that give you the feel good factor . When you have this feel good factor, you obviously feel better about yourself and stronger as a person.

Remember in #2 above about stress? Well exercise helps get rid of stress and if you alleviate stress this can only help in it not aggrevating your acne to extreme measures.

#7 Research the market for an acne treatment product for sensitive skin. But remember, it s very important to test patch any new product that you want to apply on your face. If you have acne behind your ears, this would be a good place to do a test patch.

I have researched and found a great cream that is fantastic for people with acne on sensitive skin from a well respected and reliable wholesaler based in the UK.

Every Minute Your Body is Making More Free Radicals- What Are You Going To Do About It?

If you’re over the age of 40 (or maybe 30) it’s a good time to take some time to learn a bit about the Free Radical Theory of Ageing. After all, by the time you reach your 60’s (or even your 50’s?)it would be nice to have your anti-aging strategies firmly entrenched.

If you’ve never heard of free radicals, I can assure you that they are not politically motivated, but are quite distructive never the less. Free radicals are unstable or damaged molecules that will steal an electron from another nearby molecule in order to restablize themselves. In so doing they create another unstable molecule and the cycle repeats – creating a chain response?that damages the systems in your body right at the cellular level.

You only need to look at the face of a 60 year old sunbather to see that cellular damage ages us. The effect on our skin is easy to see. We cannot see the brain, liver or heart. But arteries get blocked- with cellular junk – and joints turn swollen with chronic inflammation- which is directly caused by free radicals.

Free radicals can be attacked by antioxidants. Antioxidants are molecules that are capable of donating an electron to a free radical without becoming unstable themselves. They arrest the chain reaction and prevent the damage.

But, what’s the source of free radicals? Free radicals original from two key sources- one source is the outside environment- think of pollution and cigarette smoke and all the chemicals and toxins we regularly ingest. The other source of free radicals is us. There are four separate ways that our bodies create free radicals – oxidants.

Normal Metabolism- I’ll keep the long scientific words out of this chronicle because they’re just too hard to spell. But let’s just say that our body, uses oxygen as fuel and converts it to water. In the process, the oxygen molecule is not completely and cleanly utilized. There are by-products called oxy-radicals- our own version of nuclear waste- So that’s one – huge source of free radicals.

Oxidants are not all bad, we use them to fight chronic infections, bacteria and parasites. Unfortunately, in the process, other cells in our body are exposed and vulnerable to the free radicals. We fight fire with fire and sometimes manage to burn ourselves in the process. We also produce hydrogen peroxide- another free radical version of oxygen – when we metabolize some fatty acids.

These processes go on every day and are happening in millions of cells at the same time. It’s not surprising that antioxidant supplements are so popular and no small miracle that our body also produces some superb antioxidants like glutathione and CoEnzymeQ10 to help us deal with them.

In a final irony, an enzyme called cytochrome P450 is used by our bodies to sustain against toxins like drugs, other foreign chemicals and pesticides. In the process of creating this enzyme, our body will also produce free radicals. In a way, this makes the external toxins doubly damaging.

If you’re interested in helping your body combat the damaging effects of free radicals, you need to increase your supply of antioxidants. Some antioxidants, like Vitamins C and E can be supplemented and emphatically a good diet is very important. Other antioxidants like Glutathione cannot be supplied as an oral supplement although you can provide your body with the precursors -raw materials- to produce it yourself. One such product is MAXGXL, the Glutathione precursor from Max International.

Let’s Talk About Anti-Oxidant Supplements

If you’re interested in learning more about good health and looking after yourself, you need to learn about the role of antioxidants. Many health conscious people do and they shop for antioxidant supplements, too and they do it for one important reason. They want the benefits that antioxidants can render for their health. But the drawback is that those supplements might not do what they want.

So what’s all the fuss about antioxidants?

Antioxidants are the downfall of free radicals. To understand antioxidants, you need to know how free radicals- rogue electrons- can damage your health.

Your body is a amazing system. It’s a bunch of organs, like your liver and kidneys and your brain, that each does a important job. Each must perform their role for you to be truly healthy. Your organs are made of living tissue, composed of trillions of cells made up of molecules and their component atoms, each with their proper count of electrons. Molecules are formed when atoms, sharing electrons, bind together, but they can become damaged and drop an electron. This produces a free radical and the atom minus an electron will ” steal” it from the nearest molecule, which means there will be another unstable atom. So, you’ll have a chain reaction that if left alone, will damage the cells within the organ tissue and will sooner or later damage the organ.

Antioxidants are molecules that can remain stable, even when they lose an electron. An antioxidant molecule will not turm into a free radical itself because it will either stay stable with the missing electron or won’t be strong enough to steal an electron from another atom. The chain reaction is prevented. What’s vital to understand – to fullly comprehend the scale- is that, according to a well known researcher who studies antioxidants – whose name is Bruce Ames – a cell in your body will be attacked up to 10,000 times in just one day by free radicals. And there are trillions of cells in our bodies.

This attack by free radicals contributes to (and some will say primarily causes) many of the acute and chronic diseases that we associate with aging. Alzheimers disease, acute and chronic inflammation, coronary disease, cancer, type II diabetes, Parkinsons disease, rheumatoid arthritis and some types of dementia have all been traced back to free radical damage. And thats not the full list.

I believe that it’s truly important to reduce your own output of free radicals, increase your antioxidants and deciding to buyantioxidant supplements is one thing you can try. But it isn’t the whole picture. You should also:

1- Clean up your act. It’s difficult to fix the damage when you’re still causing it, so this would be a good time to cut back on your own creation of free radicals and there are lots of things you can do to help. You can avoid smoking and smokers, water and air pollution, junk food , substance abuse and even too much exercise.

2- Improve your diet. Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits. Which ones? This list is long but think green foods and think blue foods. Think raw and fresh.

3- Buy antioxidants and antioxidant supplements. Supplements like Vitamins C and E, Resveratrol and Cordyceps are excellent examples of antioxidants supplements that are available to buy. Choose carefully because sources, quality and usability will vary widely, but you can add them as part of your plan.

4- Glutathione is the body’s Master Antioxidant, but not effective as an oral supplement. Oral glutathione supplements unfortunately can’t make it through the digestive tract to be taken into the bloodstream. Instead you can opt for a Glutathione precursor like MAX GXL. You can also help to support your body’s production of Glutathione by eating more asparagus and broccoli.

Panic and Anxiety Attacks Relief: Natural Solutions

In this article you will learn natural remedies for panic and anxiety attacks — new ways to deal with the curve ball life throws at you the natural way.

We’ve all had those friends that get upset with the everyday occurrences that cause us stress. We all feel the need to help them. We go on a walk and discuss whatever it that is bothering them. Now, when we are the ones who suffer from stress we have a memory lapse and do not always practice what we preach. When it comes to the everyday activities that sometimes just comes at us like a rabid dog and we do not know how to stop it.

Anxiety has to be one of the worst feelings. It just seems to take the color off of everything leaving it dull and gray. You get that tunnel vision that allows you only to focus on the bad things in your life.

Acupressure anxiety relief point

Fortunately nature has provided us with energy points that we can use for our own well-being. Some of these points are good for things like making us calmer. To find the point make a fist with your left hand and look at the point where your middle finger touches the palm, now press that exact point with the thumb of your opposite hand and gently massage it for about a minute. Take some deep breaths as you hold the point and, when you feel ready swap hands and repeat.

Practice Being Still

For most people this is not easy to do. We always have to think we are in a hurry, doing the “I’m late I’m late I’m late thing. It is really hard to do when we get overly anxious or antsy. Slowing down a few moments and give your nervous system a break. While you practicing the stillness exercise practice relaxing your jaw and put a smile on your face, don’t worry about what other people think because you may look a little awkward. Start of with a minute and no you will not miss anything and remember a minute is not a lifetime. Set a timer if it helps. Slowly breathe in and out and just let your thoughts cruise on by. Try this just a few times a day and you will soon realize that it is well worth it.

Eventually when you conquer the minute maybe extend the time if you wish, just watch out for the boss or maybe you can just get him to join you. Taking time away from everything will lower your stress rate so you become more immune to the stress of everyday life and you will soon start feeling calmer and more in control of all areas of life.
